If electric utilities take responsibility for the impact upon climate change, then the future grid should look quite different.
Right now, or in the immediate future, Congress is unwilling to pass a bill “sufficient to put us on the path to stabilizing the world at 2°C.”
By the end of 2010 low-carbon energy sources will comprise 26% of China’s power capacity. With more prior nuclear power development, the U.S. is at 31%.
