I dressed warmly and carefully rode my bicycle to the pharmacy to get a prescription that had to retrieved.

The clerk commented how cold it was and I replied that it would the warmest day for several to come.

“So much for global warming,” she said.

“No, no, it’s still coming,” I averred.

A snowy day, and it is difficult to see the high water mark.

Reflecting upon the exchange later, I realized how much wishful thinking plays into the denial promulgated by those who know better.

    Al says time to get real, Congress critters. Keep answering to your fossil fuel masters* or vote for the interests of the people of America.

    OTOH it was 75º F. in Redding CA on the last day of January 2009 at 40º North. Clear skies and no rain in this part of California will mean no crops, that’s food to city folk, further south. They call it “climate change” because there is no guarantee that it will get warmer in any one place.
